I really like Squarespace for the website and especially the portfolio part. For a photography archive and shop it is less suited. One of the problems is that a large amount of images makes display of a page rather slow. For the shop part there is an additional disadvantage in the sense that every image has to be uploaded and added by hand as a product for sale. And that is not very fast when a large series of pictures has to be made available.
So entry of Photoshelter for the archive and shop part of KnikmanAV. There bulk upload of a lot of pictures is simple and they can be made available in the shop at the same time. For the time being there is of course also a disadvantage... going to the archive, client area or general shop there is a change of site in the background. For returning to the main site that means making use of the menu choice <Home> or the back button of the browser.
Probably I will integrate the two sites in the course of this year.
